Prescription Assistance Program
Calhoun County Senior Millage Prescription Assistance Program offers a free prescription drug program for adults age 60 and over who reside in Calhoun County. The program is targeted toward seniors who find it difficult to pay for their medications. There is a cap of $500 per eligible senior for each fiscal year.

To be eligible for the program you must:

  1. Be 60 or over
  2. Be a resident of Calhoun County
  3. Have a monthly income of $1,122.50 or less and single
  4. Have a monthly income of $1,515.00 or less and married
  5. Have monthly prescription costs that exceed 5 % of your monthly income. (Exception: If your income is above the guidelines and you are spending more than 20 % of your monthly income on prescriptions, call for more information.)

Please bring the following to your appointment:

  1. Social Security number
  2. Pharmacy printout, prescription receipts, or refill bottle(s)
  3. Proof of income
  4. Identification card or driver’s license
  5. Medicare card
