Cave Lake State Park is a year-round destintation for outdoor recreation opportunties. Less than a twenty minute drive outside of Ely, this park is a convenient respite in the mountains. During the warmer months, you’ll find visitors fishing, boating, swimming, camping, biking, hiking and more! As winter comes around, the park transforms into a winter sports wonderland with oppoortunities for ice fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. The park is a prime location for wildlife viewing, no matter the season. Keep an eye out for a flash of blue from a pinyon jay in the trees or the tracks of an elusive bobcat in the snow. Listen for the bugle of a bull elk in the fall and the splash of a brown trout snatching an insect off the surface of the water.
