Located approximately 20 miles from Elko off State Route 228, South Fork State Recreation Area provides ample opportunities for the outdoor adventurer. Wildlife viewing within the meadows, hills, and shorelines of the recreation area is available year-round. The expansive reservoir provides opportunities for anglers to catch catfish, bass, and trophy-size trout. Camping is provided in varying forms, ranging from primitive to RV hookups. Seasonal water sports and hunting opportunities are also available.
